I have always wanted to be a mom. No job has quite compared to my last 2 years as a mother - and that’s how I know I’m in my purpose πŸ’›

I was struggling with hormonal imbalances, gut and thyroid health issues and more in the 4 years before I got pregnant and yet, in a way pregnancy and postpartum rebalanced me physically, mentally and emotionally.

It’s why I started Thriving Motherhood and rebranded with this name; the ultimate goal and the thing I want more women and families to realize is that this path and season whether chosen or not, can be beautiful in the mess of it all and it can elevate the way you see yourself, the way you feel in terms of your physical and mental health 🧠

Motherhood is not a job for everyone and that’s okay. The same way I have no desire to be a surgeon or electrician. But, motherhood and parenting isn't a job like any other, it’s one that you can’t just walk away from at 5pm - you will forever be on-call. We don’t need to just survive through it though, we really can THRIVE β˜€οΈ

  • I hope you have a partner that will stop to dance and twirl you around when you have maternity photos done πŸ’ž and if you're questioning if they're worth it, if you have the time, if it really matters - I'm telling you it does.

With our first baby, we knew we wanted to have maternity photos BUT, on the day of, for multiple reasons, I was not in the mood and was leaning towards cancelling.

I'll say that as soon as the session ended, I looked at Justin and said "I'm so happy we did that!" because I needed a moment at 35 weeks where I felt dressed up and beautiful.

This time around, we knew we would want to do it again and yet, time was against us! From work schedules to doctors appointments, car issues and everything in between, it fell off the radar. All of a sudden I felt like we hadn't celebrated at all and had no idea how we were going to make it happen with such a small window of time and my body and back saying no to car rides longer than 10 minutes.

We're SO ready and at the same time, so NOT ready and at 37 weeks there's just no telling when our little one will join us over the course of the next few weeks.
