Movement

In my first pregnancy, I didn’t know what I didn’t know. We’re taught how to prevent pregnancy; never how to be pregnant and prepare physically, mentally and emotionally for labour, birth and postpartum.

When we turn to other people for support, we can get a lot of negativity (even unintentionally) – the unsolicited advice – fear, stress, anxiety – self-doubt becomes very real. 

“Every pregnancy is different” they’ll say, followed closely by “This is how it happened for me, so it’ll probably be like that for you, too.”

I get it, it’s hard to believe you can have a beautiful, less painful birth experience – especially if that isn’t how it was for you, but someone else’s experiences are not yours!

When I figured out what I really wanted in birth and what I didn’t, I was able to do the mindset work, prepare my body and ultimately trust myself even when others didn’t understand.

3rd & 4th Trimester Support: The program begins as you enter the third trimester (around 28 weeks) and runs to the end of your 4th trimester. Encouraging you to truly connect with yourself and implement the wholesomeness that this program has to offer, The Yoga Inspired Birth is an online and in-person connection that gives you support and accountability all the way through.

Live Coaching Calls: Connect face-to-face with me during your pregnancy and in your 4th trimester on Zoom. We’ll check-in with your physical, emotional and mental wellbeing and introduce new material for movement, mindset, yoga techniques and birth prep specific to your needs. By the end of each call you will know what to expect in your next month of pregnancy or postpartum with actionable steps.

Live Online Yoga + Meditation: Join me each week for a Prenatal Yoga & Meditation practice. We’ll switch it up with full-body stretch sessions and yoga nidra, too so that you can create a sustainable practice serving you well beyond this season of life.

Postpartum Essentials Kit: We’ll work together to create a personalized postpartum kit that will take care of your body and mind when baby arrives. From pads and perineal spray to bath salts and lactation supporting recipes, the goal is to remove the self-doubt and help prepare you for Birth and Postpartum recovery.

BONUS Holistic Nutrition Consult: Sit down 1:1 with a Registered Holistic Nutritionist to go over the ins and outs of pre & postnatal nutrition to support your pregnancy, postpartum recovery and breastfeeding goals.

As your pregnancy coach, I offer support during and after pregnancy, helping you have a healthy pregnancy with yoga, breath work and daily habits .

The big difference is that as your Pregnancy Coach, I will not be present during your birth (virtual birth support is an option you can add to your package as desired). I work with you throughout your pregnancy, providing tools and support so that you feel confident and informed during the labour and birth of your baby. We may also work together during your 4th trimester to ensure you feel supported as you recover, navigate life with a newborn and begin physical exercise.

As your Pregnancy Coach, I will not be present during the physical labour and birth of your baby. The Yoga Inspired Birth is designed to help you (and your partner) feel confident, informed and empowered in birth and postpartum. We even have a session dedicated to your relationship with communication exercises, how to help each other, fertility awareness and being the best couple while also being the best new parents.

A willingness to learn and try is a beautiful thing, and it goes a long way! If you’re not currently physically active, or are new to yoga, don’t stress. We can tailor your new practice to meet you at your level with modifications, props and support. You’ll be amazed at what the body can do with a little practice.

The ideal time for us to connect is around weeks 26-28 of your pregnancy so we can dive into your third trimester with physical, emotional and information support and create a solid foundation for daily habits. 

 

In the event of a scheduled cesarean section, we’ll create a birth plan that ensures you know your options as well as prepare you for a possible spontaneous labour. Unplanned c-sections will be discussed and planned for as best as possible when we work on your birth plan, so that you feel in-control and can advocate for yourself and your baby with as little stress as possible. During our postpartum calls, we will adjust your plan to reflect your changing recovery needs and infant care.

 

Every pregnancy is unique to the birthing person as is the birth. As your Pregnancy Coach, I will help you to create positive, lifelong habits that take you far beyond our time together. You’ll receive evidence-based support to help you make decisions, address changes from this pregnancy to previous ones and reduce your stress (especially if you’ve got other littles running around).

This program focuses on whole body health with yoga inspired techniques. We will discuss the basics of nutrition from a whole foods perspective to accompany the physical and emotional aspects of pregnancy, birth and postpartum. You can also add a Nutrition Consult with our Registered Holistic Nutritionist to your package for an additional fee.

I have created a 12 week program that will get you and your partner ready physically, emotionally, and mentally for labour, birth and postpartum. I walk you through all that you should learn, practice, consider, think about and plan for with your upcoming birth in a holistic way. In addition, when questions come up throughout your pregnancy, I am a resource to help you navigate what you want in a birth experience and how to feel confident and informed while you rediscover yourself in the fourth trimester. 

Each session is strategically designed to help make sure you are on track for a CONFIDENT PREGNANCY, INFORMED BIRTH AND EMPOWERED POSTPARTUM.

I create a 100% personalized plan to support you from bump to baby with yoga-inspired movement, breath work and mindful habits. You’ll also get my unique perspective as a yoga teacher, holistic doula and mother to make sure you have evidence-based information and know how to make the best decisions for you. That might not be what your mom or mother-in-law or coworker did – but, you are your own person and you get your own unique birth story!

You will learn to feel calmer and stronger with our weekly yoga practice, create an informed birth plan that aligns with your preferences, prepare your body and mind for labour and birth, and have a strong postpartum plan that has you feeling confident and empowered. I will meet you where you are and adjust to your preferences and pregnancy, to make the entire process as simple and easy as possible. At the end of the 10 sessions you will be thriving, not just surviving, in motherhood.
